Obamas Visit National Cemetery

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama visited Arlington National Cemetery the day before the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

The Obamas visited Section 60 in the southeast portion of the cemetery, which is where casualties from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are buried.  In total, 6213 military personnel have died in those two conflicts to date.

The president and the first lady walked together through the rows of head stones.  They stopped and spoke with other visitors, exchanging hugs before leaving.
