No Metro Yellow Line Service This Weekend, Delays on Other Lines

All lines except for the Orange line are supposed to be affected by the work

If you were planning to use Metro's Yellow Line this weekend, you'll need to make other plans.

Metro says there will be no Yellow Line service Saturday or Sunday because of safety and maintenance work throughout the system.

Shuttle buses will operate between the Huntinton, Eisenhower and King Street stations. The Blue and Green lines will service Yellow Line stations north of King Street.

While the Yellow line is the only line that will be suspended, every line except the Orange line will be affected in some way.

Red line users should prepare to wait 28 minutes for each train this weekend. Also, trains will single-track between Farragut North and Union Station in D.C.

Trains on the Green line are set to run every 15 minutes, Metro said, with single-tracking between Southern Avenue and Naylor Road.

The Blue and Silver lines will run on normal weekend intervals, but the last five stops on the eastern end of the Silver line will be serviced by the Blue line.
