A 16-year-old Maryland girl missing since Dec. 21 has been found and is safe, authorities say.
Nija Williams, of Hanover, Maryland, was located with her dog at an address in Howard County at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police had said Williams was in the company of an older man.
Police did not release any further information, but said the case is still "very active" and the investigation is ongoing.
