D.C. police say two new speed cameras and one crosswalk camera will be activated Saturday, July 19.
When they're activated, the cameras will go through a 30-day "education phase," during which violators will receive warning tickets.
After the phase is over, police will issue live moving citations.
The cameras will be located in:
- 3900 block of South Dakota Avenue NE, speed limit 25 (speed camera)
- 3700 block of Minnesota Avenue NE, speed limit 25 (speed camera)
- 49th Street NE at Clay Street, speed limit 25 (crosswalk camera)
