Porter Airlines Begins Service at Dulles

Four daily round-trip flights between Dulles and Toronto

A Canadian-based airline is celebrating the inauguration of service at Dulles International Airport.

Porter Airlines begins four daily round-trip flights between Dulles and its home base at Toronto City Airport on Monday. The first flight is scheduled to arrive about 8:25 a.m.

The airline was founded in 2006 and now has service to six U.S. cities.

It flies a fleet of 70-seat Bombardier turboprop aircraft. The Toronto City Airport is closer to the city's downtown than the larger Pearson International Airport, but Toronto City airport is on an island that only connects to the downtown core by ferry.
