Nationals Players to Prepare Snacks With Kids at Capital Area Food Bank

Two players from the Washington Nationals are expected to visit the Capital Area Food Bank in D.C. to help prepare healthy snacks.

Pitchers Jerry Blevins and Craig Stammen are expected to visit the food bank in Northeast on Monday and help make healthy snacks with kids.

The food bank's Kids Cafe program prepares free, healthy meals and snacks for more than 2,000 children and teens daily after school and over the summer. The meals and snacks are distributed at nearly 90 locations in the D.C. area.

The Nationals will host an annual food drive later in the summer to collect food donations to help families in the Washington area.
