A naked man was arrested while bathing in a fountain outside the Library of Congress during broad daylight -- a fountain that just happens to feature sculptures of naked men and sea nymphs.
U.S. Capitol Police were called to the Neptune Fountain in front of the library's Thomas Jefferson Building for the report of a naked man. They found the man still in the fountain, bathing "with his genitalia exposed," according to a police report.
It happened around 9:20 a.m. Oct. 1.
The man was arrested and charged with indecent exposure. His name has not been released.
The Neptune Fountain features sculptures of "the majestic bearded and muscular king of the sea," his sons, and "frolicking, horseback-riding sea nymphs, according to the Architect of the Capitol's website. At least several are depicted nude.
