A Mexican restaurant in Brookland was robbed Friday evening, along with several customers eating dinner at the time.

Police responded to Silvestre Cafe in the 3000 block of 12th Street NE just before 8 p.m.

No suspect information has been made available but police say they're looking for at least four men, who were wearing masks at the time. Two were wearing camoflauge pants.

The men robbed several patrons of their cell phones, then pointed their guns at the employees and demanded cash.

Their "getaway van" was found shortly after the incident at Capital Avenue and Providence Street NE.

The restaurant is frequented by Catholic University students. The owner plans on reopening Saturday.
