NBC4 celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, a celebration of the histories, cultures and contributions of citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

McDonald's joined NBC4 in the celebration, presenting a $5,000 check to the Latin American Youth Center in Prince George's County at a reception in September.

The celebration is part of a series at NBC4. In May, the station celebrated Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and in February, the station celebrated Black History Month.
