Museum Offers Culpeper Version of Monopoly

Monopoly fans in Culpeper can now play a local version of the game.

Culpeper Opoly was developed by Sophie Hudson with Kash Design. The game board features historic images of the city and game cards containing Culpeper-specific facts.

Culpeper also is represented by the game's metal tokens, including a Civil War cap, a caboose and a hot pepper.

About 40 local companies sponsored cards, properties, game play squares or money, according to The Star-Exponent.

The game is available for purchase for $25 at the Museum for Culpeper History. Proceeds from game sales and sponsorships will benefit the museum's general operations.
