Metropolitan police are searching for a suspect in the shooting death of a woman on Christmas Eve in northwest D.C.
Police said Yamalith Arroyo was shot and killed in the 3900 block of 14th Street, Northwest around 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 24. Investigators have named Marvin W. Lopez, also known as Marvin Lopez Cabera, as the suspect in the shooting.
Lopez is 35 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red, white and blue jacket and brown pants. Detectives said the arrest warrant is for murder.
Anyone who sees Lopez should call 911 immediately and not approach him.
