Multi-Alarm Fire Burns in Downtown Baltimore

Firefighters are battling a multi-alarm blaze in downtown Baltimore in the adult entertainment district.

Smoke spread over much of downtown Monday afternoon in the 400 block of Baltimore Street, an area known as The Block. Two office buildings were evacuated.

The fire spread to several buildings, WBAL-TV reported.

It was not known if there were any injuries.

The Block is a neighborhood of strip clubs with gaudy lights, including Larry Flynt's Hustler Club. Some of the venues are historic theaters.
