Moving Truck Driver Gets 8 Years for Ramming Cars

Mover was fleeing police following alleged assault

A Hanover man was sentenced to eight years in prison for ramming cars on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway while fleeing police.

Michael A. Jasper, 40, pleaded guilty to assault. He was sentenced in federal court in Greenbelt on Wednesday.

According to his plea agreement, on March 31, 2010, Jasper was involved in an assault while he was working for a moving company in New Carrollton. Jasper fled in a company truck, and during a pursuit by law enforcers, deliberately rammed at least five cars, injuring at least three people.
