Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With UPS Truck

Crash happened around 10:15 a.m. in the 3000 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW

    A motorcyclist died after a collision with a UPS truck Monday morning.

    The UPS truck was turning into the driveway of the Washington National Cathedral in the 3000 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW when it collided with the motorcycle about 10:15 a.m. An initial report indicates the motorcyclist may have clipped the truck, sending the rider flying.

    An accident reconstruction team was called to the scene.

    Northbound traffic on Wisconsin Avenue was diverted onto Massachusetts Avenue until the northbound lanes reopened before 3 p.m.
