Two men have been hospitalized after their motorcycles crashed with an Amish horse and buggy in St. Mary's County, Md. Thursday afternoon.

Donald L. Fridell, Jr. 52, and Lawrence F. Jones, 81, both of Lothian, Md. were riding their motorcycles westbound along Route 6 close to Culver Lane. An oncoming horse and buggy, operated by 48-year-old Lyna H. Fisher of Mechanicsville, Md., failed to yield to the motorcycles while making a turn and collided with the men.

Fridell struck the horse and buggy, was ejected and was flown to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Jones lost control of his motorcycle, also got ejected and was transported with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say there are no indication the accident was a result of speed, alcohol or drugs.
