Motorcyclist Killed In Spotsylvania Co.

39-year-old man died at Mary Washington Hospital

Police in Spotsylvania County are investigating a fatal accident that claimed the life of a Mississippi motorcyclist late Saturday evening.

Investigators say the accident occurred at around 10:20 p.m. Saturday on County Road 620, just east of Wexwood Court. Police say that a motorcycle was traveling along County Road 620, also known as Harrison Road, when it crossed over the double line and struck a Ford Focus head-on.

The motorcyclist, identified as 39-year-old Timothy Waaga of Long Beach, Mississippi, was taken to Mary Washington Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators say that Waaga was wearing a helmet. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
