Maryland Mother, Daughter Found Safe After Search

Police say a 73-year-old woman with Alzheimer's disease and her 50-year-old daughter have been found safe after the two women disappeared after a family event.

Arlene Grant, 50, of Baltimore, and her mother, 73-year-old Marie Grant, of Aspen Hill, were last seen Saturday.

Arlene picked her mother up from her assisted-living home on Cairncross Terrace to take her to a family function. The family told police Arlene was supposed to take Marie back to the home after the event, but she never did.

Police said Arlene has texted family members since then, but she didn't tell them her and her mother's whereabouts.

On Monday, police say both women had been found safe and unharmed.
