A woman has been arrested for abandoning her infant under the porch of a church in Severn, police say.
Pettricia Finch-Miller left the baby boy in a car seat, then picked up her 10-year-old and 13-year-old daughters and went to a motel in Fredericksburg. Police tracked her down after an extensive search.
Police say that an unidentified person called to report the missing infant around the same time that the baby was discovered.
Finch-Miller is being charged with Neglect of a Minor and Desertion of a Minor.
