Arrest Made After Mother, 8-Year-Old Boy Found Dead

Crime concerns Dale City neighborhood

Prince William County police have arrested a woman in connection with the deaths of a woman and her young son.

Natalia Wilson, 47, of Arlington, Va., was arrested Tuesday night and charged with two counts of murder. Police said Wilson was known to the victims and she is being held without bond. The investigation continues.

“This case is still under investigation, but it does not appear to be a random killing,” Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul Ebert told the Potomac News & Messenger. He would not elaborate.

Police said the bodies of 41-year-old Slavka P. Naydenova and her 8-year-old son, Paul A. Wilson, were found in her home on Hanover Court in Dale City late Monday. Naydenova's husband discovered them when he returned home from work. Police said there were no signs of forced entry and they did not release the manner of death.

Police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez said Natalia Wilson is married to the boy's father. The father was not identified.

Paul A. Wilson was a second-grader at Mary G. Porter Traditional School in Woodbridge. A county schools spokesman said crisis counselors were on hand and an informational letter about the murders was sent home to parents.
