Most Metro Employees Have Witnessed Safety Violations

A survey of Metro's 10,000 employees discovered the majority of them have witnessed a safety violation over the past year.

The news came out during today's Metro Safety and Security Committee meeting.

Safety violations are reported 70 percent of the time, with fear of retaliation given as the top reason violations sometimes go unreported.

For Metrobus employees, the violations mostly involve texting while driving or not wearing a seat belt.
