Montgomery County Firefighters spent hours rescuing an elderly woman from her car after she drove it underneath a tractor-trailer.

Investigators said it happened at the loading dock of the Giant Food Store on Old Georgetown Road in North Bethesda Saturday.

Firefighters used the jaws of life to remove the woman from her car that was tightly wedged under the truck. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Scott Graham of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue says they are still investigating how the incident happened.
