Montgomery County Approves New White Flint Skyline Additions

Additions will include movie theater, restaurants, offices and apartments

Montgomery County has approved a plan to expand residential, retail and office space options on the White Flint Corridor.

The project, deemed “North Bethesda Market II”, comes after the success of the first North Bethesda Market tower complex.

“North Bethesda Market II” will eventually hail as the tallest building in Montgomery County, topping out at a whopping 24 stories. The building will include an estimated 340 apartments, around 150,000 square feet of office space, and 130,000 square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment space. It will also feature a multi-screen movie theater and public places to park. Fountains, tree canopies, and planting will green up the space, as well environmental features such as green roofs, bio filters, and underground filter systems.

The development will be built next to the North Bethesda Market, one block from the White Flint Metro station.

Construction is slated to start later this year, and be completed by late 2014.
