Missing Swimmer's Body Recovered

The body of a 27-year-old swimmer has been recovered, according to the Department of Natural Resources.

Nate Young disappeared Thursday evening after he jumped from a pleasure boat near Dobbin Island in Anne Arundel County. Police said when he didn’t resurface, others from the boat jumped in after him, but had troubles staying above water themselves.

Anne Arundel Fire, the Department of Natural Resources, and a Maryland State Police helicopter worked together on a two hour search Thursday, but found nothing. The search was called off at 8:30 p.m. due to darkness.

The search resumed Friday and his body was found around 6 p.m.

Officials said the group was drinking at the time of the accident.
