Missing Prince George's County Woman's Remains Found in State Park

Remains of 29-year-old discovered and identified

Remains found in a Maryland state park are confirmed to be those of 29-year-old Crystal Keyona Anderson, a Prince George’s County woman who had been missing since the summer.

Anderson was last seen the night of July 26, before someone dropped her off at a BP gas station in Forestville, according to family members.

Some family members tearfully handed out flyers in hopes of finding Anderson in September. They described Anderson as an outgoing, friendly person, who was unlikely to leave without telling anybody.

At the time, Anderson’s mother told News4 that just before the disappearance, her daughter spoke of some good news she had to share. But the good news never came.

In January, a hiker reported finding partial human remains at the Purse State Park in Charles County. On Tuesday, the medical examiner identified the remains as belonging to Anderson.

The cause of death still was not clear by Wednesday evening.
