Metro's Greenbelt Station Closed This Weekend

Other four Metro lines unaffected by weekend work

Metro's Greenbelt station will be closed Saturday and Sunday, but the other four Metro lines will be unaffected by weekend work.

On the Green Line, service will operate normally Friday night. But on Saturday and Sunday, the Greenbelt station will be closed, and free shuttle buses will replace trains between Greenbelt and College Park.

Green Line trains will operate at normal weekend intervals (every 12-20 minutes) between College Park and Branch Ave throughout the weekend.

Riders who normally use the Greenbelt station should consider using the College Park (Green Line) or New Carrollton (Orange Line) stations instead this weekend.

Metro says passengers using Metrobus B30 service to Baltimore-Washington International Airport should arrive at the College Park station 30 minutes before their B30 departure times at Greenbelt to allow for time to ride the shuttle bus to Greenbelt.

In addition, weekend MARC service is available from BWI to Union Station, where passengers can transfer to the Red Line. Note that MARC service requires a separate fare.
