Metro Worker Files Lawsuit Alleging Sexual Harassment

A Metro worker filed a lawsuit, alleging she has been sexually harassed in the workplace.

The Washington Post reported Arlancia Williams said in a lawsuit filed this month that her boss demanded hugs, made disparaging comments about her husband and made harassing phone calls. Williams said she was reassigned to a late shift when she complained to Metro.

Williams claimed when she told a high-level manager of her concerns, she was told that since she "can't work under stress from being harassed," maybe the job isn't for her.

Metro declined to comment specifically on the case. But a spokesman said that Metro "has a clear policy against sexual harassment."

Williams' lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court alleges sexual harassment, gender discrimination and retaliation.
