Metro will be continuing trackwork this weekend. Delays are expected on every Metro line.
Beginning Friday night at 10 p.m., Red Line's Shady Grove Station will be closed. Free shuttle buses will replace trains between the Shady Grove and Rockville stations.
The entire Metrorail system will open one hour early at 6 a.m. Saturday to accomodate participants in the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon.
The Orange Line will single track between East Falls Church and West Falls Church throughout the weekend, so customers should allow an additional 10-15 minutes of travel time.
Trains will also single track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road. Customers should allow 10-15 minutes of additional travel time when traveling on the Blue Line.
Green Line trains will single track between Fort Totten and Prince George's Plaza, and customers should allow 10 minutes of additional travel time.
Yellow Line customers should also allow 10 minutes of additional travel time, and should use the Green Line to complete any trips traveling to/from stations north of Mt. Vernon Square.
