Metro Resumes Weekend Work After 4-Week Break

After a four-week break for cherry blossom season, Metro is back to doing weekend work again.

Beginning Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through Sunday, free shuttle buses will replace trains on portions of the Orange and Blue lines, Metro said.

On the Orange line, shuttle buses will replace trains between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly. The Minnesota Avenue and Deanwood stations will be closed. On the Blue Line, buses will replace trains between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road. The Benning Road and Capitol Heights stations will be closed.

In addition, on the Red Line, trains will operate every 15 minutes. Trains will operate more frequently between Van Ness and NoMa-Gallaudet from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. only.

On the Green Line, there will be longer waits at Greenbelt on Saturday.
