Metro Gives Redskins the U2 Treatment

LANDOVER, Md. -- As they did for the U2 concert, Metro will keep Morgan Boulevard Metro Station open an extra hour because of Monday night's football game.

Don't expect as much traffic, though, unless Philadelphia Eagles fans scoop up disgruntled Washington Redskins fans' tickets.

The transit agency also will run more trains and have more employees on hand to accommodate large crowds if they do materialize.

The last Blue Line train to Franconia-Springfield will leave Morgan at 12:27 a.m. Tuesday. If the game goes into overtime -- not likely -- Metro will make sure trains are available to move riders.

No one will be allowed to enter other Metro stations after their regular closing times.
