The superintendent of Arlington Public Schools denies harassment that a middle school principal said caused her to resign.

Williamsburg Middle School principal Kathleen Francis says the superintendent of Arlington Public Schools wants her gone, so she's going, but not quietly.

In a letter to the school's community, Francis announced she is resigning effective in March, and she cited harassment from Superintendent Patrick Murphy as the reason.

Francis filed a federal EEOC complaint alleging harassment based on her gender and age.

Murphy sent a letter to the community denying Francis's accusations.
