Teen Crashes into Trooper, Tries to Eat Pot Stash

A Maryland state trooper is out of the hospital after he was injured in an accident along I-270 apparently caused by a teen driver, who police say then tried to eat his stash of marijuana.

First Sergeant Jay Robinson was standing on the side of the interstate near Falls Road in Rockville when a 19-year-old driver hit a car that ran into Robinson's patrol car.

Robinson was thrown onto the hood.

But, police say, Robinson then saw that the 19-year-old appeared to be eating marijuana, apparently to get rid of the drug.

The teen driver was taken to hospital. He is expected to be charged in the case.

Robinson was treated and released.
