Md. State Police Seek Driver in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Maryland State Police are looking for a driver involved in fatal hit-and-run accident early Tuesday in Anne Arundel County.

Police say a driver and passenger were ejected on Interstate 97 near Route 32, after their truck hit the median and overturned in the northbound lanes. It happened between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.

The victim was ejected into the southbound lanes. As he stood up, he was fatally struck by another vehicle that did not stop. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The survivor of the crash was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries.

There is no description of the striking vehicle.

The identity of the deceased man has not yet been released.
