Md. Man Pleads Guilty in Child Pornography Case

An Anne Arundel County, Maryland, man pleaded guilty to producing child pornography stemming from videos that prosecutors say show him sexually assaulting a toddler.

Darrius Carr, 22, of Severn, pleaded guilty to one count of producing child pornography in federal court in Baltimore Wednesday. Carr agreed to serve 25 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release in exchange for the plea, prosecutors said. His sentencing is set for Jan. 26.

Carr moved into a couple's home March 6 to provide daycare for their young children, prosecutors said.

He filmed himself sexually assaulting a toddler-aged girl on March 7 and March 11, prosecutors said. They said Carr had been storing and distributing child pornography since at least 2012.
