Md. Girl Dragged by 700-Pound Steer Goes Home

Vanessa Rinehart won’t be tying herself to a big ol' steer anytime soon.

The Flintstone, Md., girl was severely hurt April 18 in an incident on the family farm. According to The Cumberland Times-News, her 700-pound steer “got spooked” and dragged the 15-year-old about 200 yards before coming to a stop. She was hooked to the animal by a rope tied around her waist.

Vanessa suffered serious head trauma, internal injuries, scrapes and bruises.

She wasn’t expected to ever walk again, but to that -- seems Vanessa said, "Bull!"
