Md. Dad Accused of Abusing Two-Month-Old Daughter

A Maryland father is accused of abusing his two-month-old daughter after she was found with severe injuries throughout her body.

Police say 27-year-old Reynold O'Brien Gibbs took his baby to MedStar St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown April 16, after finding her leg was hanging limp.

Emergency room staff called police after noticing the girl had fractures to her left tibia and right femur, several broken limbs and internal abdominal and spinal trauma.

Later that day, Gibbs was charged with three counts of child abuse and two counts of child assault. He's behind bars with a $75,000 bond.

His baby daughter remains in the neonatal intensive care unit.
