McPherson Square Still Under Renovation

Crews are still working to improve McPherson Square.

The project to renovate the park began three months ago and it’s only halfway done, the Washington Examiner reported.

The project includes new sidewalks, benches, flower gardens, grass and an irrigation system. It also includes repainting the fence around the statue of Civil War Gen. James B. McPherson.

National Park Service spokesman Bill Line said the project should be finished by the end of the year.
