Maryland State Board of Elections Finds Larry Hogan Didn't Account for Poll

The Maryland State Board of Elections has found that Republican gubernatorial candidate Larry Hogan should have disclosed the value of a poll conducted by a group he created before he decided to run for governor.

However, the board decided Thursday not to impose a fine.

Jared DeMarinis, director of the candidacy and campaign finance division of the board, says Hogan's campaign is going to amend a campaign finance report to reflect the value of the poll as an $825 contribution from Change Maryland.

Hogan used the poll from last year to test the waters on a potential run for governor. Hogan later bought the assets of the group for his campaign.

The Maryland Democratic Party filed a complaint against Hogan's campaign over the use of Change Maryland.
