Maryland Man in Cuban Prison Dreams of Going Out to the Ball Game

An American man imprisoned in Cuba for more than two years would like to see a Cuban baseball game, eat ribs and drink some Scotch if and when he gets out of prison, his sister said Monday.

Bonnie Rubinstein was in Washington Monday for a weekly demonstration in front of Cuba's equivalent of an embassy.

After the demonstration she said her 63-year-old brother is a Washington Redskins football fan, but he has grown interested in Cuban baseball because his jailors watch games.

She said he'd like to enjoy ribs with her and other family members who live in Texas. Meanwhile, Rubinstein's husband said he recently bought a bottle of 12-year-old single-malt Scotch he plans to save until Gross is home.

Gross was sentenced to 15 years for crimes against the state after he brought restricted communications equipment to the communist island nation while on a democracy-building program.
