Maryland Man Killed in Early Morning Accident

    A Maryland man was killed while attempting to pass another car by an oncoming fuel truck Tuesday.

    According to police, the man was driving a 2004 Mazda 6 sedan and traveling eastbound on Fingerboard Road. He tried to pass the vehicle in front of him, but was instead struck head-on by a fuel truck.

    The driver has been identified as Kurt S. Neubauer of Mount Airy, Md.

    The fuel truck driver was treated and released at the scene.

    Police continue to investigate the collision.
