One Rockville man is proof that age is just a number.

Homer Laborwit turned 100 on Sunday, celebrating with his friends and family.

And this is a big week for Homer, as Friday marks 77 years that he and his wife, Bess, have been married.

The two tied the knot back in 1934, and say that back then, rent was just $15 a month.

Homer spends his time exercising, while Bess enjoys shopping at White Flint Mall and even hitting up the slots in Delaware and West Virginia.

They have five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The couple said the secret to their longevity and happiness is humor.
