Maryland Man Accused of Setting Wife's Hair on Fire

A Sykesville, Md., man faces assault and reckless endangerment charges for allegedly setting his wife's hair on fire during a dispute.

John Michael Boone, 43, is free on $20,000 bail, the Carroll County Times reported Thursday.

He was arrested Tuesday by a sheriff's deputy who was called to the couple's home for a reported domestic dispute.

Boone lit up his wife's hair after a verbal and physical altercation, police said. She quickly extinguished the fire.

Boone couldn't be reached Thursday for comment. His home telephone line was constantly busy. Court records do not list a defense attorney.
