On Sunday, the 39th annual Marine Corps Marathon will fill streets in D.C. and Northern Virginia, leading to some road closures.
The complete list of street shutdowns -- stretching from Clarendon to the Capitol -- can be found in the links below. But here’s what else you need to know:
- Parts of Rosslyn begin shutting down at noon on Saturday, Oct 25, until the end of the race on Sunday, Oct 26, specifically N. Kent Street between Wilson Boulevard and N. 19th Street.
- Be on the lookout for temporary “No Parking” signs around the Marathon’s route. If you are illegally parked, you may be towed.
- North Arlington -- where the race starts and ends -- has the longest closures, with most of Rosslyn shut down from 4 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
- The course officially closes by 3 p.m., but authorities will re-open roads as they clear.
- If you have any issues with closures in the district, contact the DC Police at 202-727-9099. For closures in Virginia, contact the Arlington County police at 703-558-2222.
