Police Shut Down Marijuana Growing Site in Anne Arundel County

Detectives Close Active Grow Site

Police say they've halted an active marijuana growing operation in Anne Arundel County.

Two people were arrested after police raided their home on West Meadow Road in Brooklyn Park Wednesday night. The neighborhood is just outside Baltimore city limits.

In the home, police discovered an active grow site that included 428 grams of suspected marijuana, 29 suspected plants, manufacturing equipment and drug paraphernalia.

David Blake Riley, 31, and April Marie Derossett, 29, were charged with manufacturing, possession, and intent to distribute marijuana.

According to police, the street value of the drugs is more than $4,200.
