Police said a man in a wheelchair was hit by a vehicle when he was attempting to cross a street in Waldorf, Md., Saturday night.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office said the victim was hit near the intersection of St. Charles Parkway and St. Thomas Drive. The 34 year-old man was taken to Prince George’s Hospital Center, where he is listed in stable condition.

Police are searching for a white vehicle they believe to be a Ford car or truck. They said the right headlight was broken during the incident.

Anyone with information about the driver or the vehicle should contact the CCSO Traffic Operations Unit at 301-932-2222 or Charles County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 that leads to an arrest or indictment.
