A Maryland man has been arrested and charged with making threats against the state's House speaker, Senate president and an Anne Arundel County councilman.
Police say Paul David Grimm was arrested Friday. Police say Grimm was upset over a stormwater management pond in his community. Police say Grimm was visited at his home Wednesday by Anne Arundel County Councilman Dick Ladd.
Police say Grimm pointed his finger at Ladd and made threatening statements. Grim then allegedly referenced House Speaker Michael E. Bush and Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr., saying he would ``take them out.''
County police say Grimm was charged with three counts of threats to a state official. A telephone message left Saturday at a listing for Grimm was not immediately returned.
