Suspect Arrested, Another Wanted in Armed Carjacking in Georgetown

Police said they have arrested one man and are looking for another in connection with one armed carjacking and another attempted carjacking in Georgetown Wednesday afternoon.

D.C. police said in the first instance, the two suspects pulled up to a man attempting to park his car in the 3100 block of P Street NW. One of the suspects, carrying a handgun, approached the would-be victim, who then fled from the scene.

The suspects, police said, then made their way to the 2600 block of P Street NW, where one of the suspects, again carrying a gun, approached a woman sitting inside her car. The suspect demanded her keys, and when she gave them up, the suspect got into her car and drove away.

Later that day, U.S. Park Police officers located one of the suspects and arrested him. Another remains on the lam and is believed to have been driving a Ford Explorer SUV with partial tags CB3__45 from an unknown state.
