Police are still looking for the person who ran away from the scene of a hit-and-run accident Tuesday night.

The victim and two other people were riding in the southbound lanes of Kenilworth Avenue near Eastern Avenue when their vehicle broke down in the roadway.

The three left the vehicle in the road and were standing along the roadway when someone driving a Ford pickup truck was apparently unable to avoid the car and struck the rear of the vehicle. The truck then jumped the curb and struck one of the three people.

Police say the driver fled the scene on foot and remains at-large.

The male victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
