Man Struck by Vehicle in Leesburg in Critical Condition

A 39-year-old man was injured after a vehicle struck him in Leesburg, Virginia, police said.

A Toyota Highlander struck the man when he was trying to cross the Leesburg Bypass near the Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Medics airlifted the victim to the INOVA Fairfax Hospital. He is in critical condition, police said.

The SUV driver is a 71-year-old man from Culpeper. Police said he is cooperating with investigators.
