A man was struck by a Metrobus near L'Enfant Plaza just before 9 a.m. Wednesday.
It happened around the intersection of 10th & D streets SW.
The victim, who is in his 50s, was conscious and breathing when he was transported to a local hospital. He is in stable condition.
Metro officials say the cause of the accident is under investigation. There were five passengers on the bus at the time of the crash. No one on the bus was injured.
