Man Stabbed in Southwest D.C.

Victim stabbed at least once in the chest at the cab company

D.C. police are looking for the person who fatally stabbed a manager of the Gold Star Cab Company in Southwest about 7 p.m. Thursday.

The victim, 60-year-old Hayes Osei Dennis, of Fort Washington, Md., was stabbed at least once in the chest at the cab company, located in the unit block of Q Street. He was rushed to the hospital but later pronounced dead.

The attacker was armed with a knife and was last seen heading north on Half Street.

The cab company usually closes at 6 p.m., but mechanics and other employees often stay later. It was unclear as of Thursday evening whether robbery could have been a motive.
